Recently Pepper Hamilton partner Shel Schreiberg hosted another Housing Update conference in our Washington D.C. office. Our special guest was Harry Sewell, Executive Director of the D.C. Housing Finance Agency. The principal discussion of the session was about the Federal New Issue Bond Program, but the session covered a range of topics including the District's administration of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds and its experience with Exchange Funds.

Housing Update Live

Recently, Pepper Hamilton partner Sheldon Schreiberg hosted a Housing Update conference which featured Kim Griffith, Vice President of Affordable Housing Lending and Investment at Freddie Mac. In this role he oversees Freddie Mac’s Affordable Multifamily Lending and Investment activities.

In today’s liquidity crisis, Freddie Mac, with its sister, Fannie Mae have reemerged as dominant multifamily lenders, replacing much of the conduit activity of the past few years. This podcast is a portion of Kim Griffith’s comments where he describes some of the marketplace conditions the Affordable Housing Industry is facing and how these condition are affecting Freddie Mac.
